The area offers more than 60 kilometres of cross-country ski trails (half in the valley and half at the Pokljuka plateau), various ski areas and plenty of other options.

Night sledding from Mount Vogar is the longest sledding track in whole Slovenia. This adventure allows you to spend 2 unforgettable hours with your friends or family.

What can be more fun for families than an adrenalin run down the snowy hill? The kids will simply love it and the grownups will have a great fun and exercise. There are several ski centres where you can enjoy sledding: Vogel, Senozeta , Pokljuka Plateau, Soriska planina, Telecnica Hill and more. All the mentioned Centres also offer a possibility of sledge renting.

If you like to experience a winter wonderland by walk, then snowshoeing is perfect activity for you. You will enjoy in beautiful view and fresh air and to do it you will need only warm gloves, a hat, backpack with food, warm hiking clothes and shoes.

Paragliding adventure lasts only for about brief 20 minutes, but can bring unforgettable excitement and allows you to see some really amazing views of Lake Bohinj, Julian Alps, and the entire valley of Bohinj. It takes place in a tandem.

If you like ice skating, Bohinj area offers three ice rinks. But be aware, conditions are not always perfect, that’s why you have to be very careful and walk on ice at your own responsibility.

With an experienced guide and nice weather, Bohinj provides the experience of the most beautiful sites for ski touring in Slovenia. The ski touring season last from December to May. You can choose easier tours like Rodica near Pokljuka plateau, or Mountain Komna.

The magnificent Savica Waterfall can be a nice destination even in winter. The waterfall lies 4 km from Ukanc and can be reached by a walking path. Its opening hours may change, depending on weather conditions; in winter the fall is open if the weather permits.
