Bohinj is a great destination for camping
For a lot of people camping on a shore of lake still represents the best way to spend holidays. It could be the most authentic and romantic way to experience your holiday and staying in close connection with nature and surroundings. There is more ways how to do it. Adrenaline freaks will love rafting, hydro-speed, canyoning, rides with kayaks and canoes, paragliding and back horse ridding. For less active or older tourists there are many traditional events all year long, joined by music festival in the summer. The twenty-four villages in and above the valley offer a glimpse of an authentic culture of the region, culinary experiences and a lot of fun while exploring the area.
Pet friendly Camp Danica is placed in a peaceful and purely natural background, on the brinks of Triglav National Park, near town Bohinjska Bistrica. It stands in pleasant woods along the Bohinjka river and has a nice view of Triglav and the Bohinj mountains. It offers approximately 200 camping pitches, on a grassy grounds in shade of old trees. In the camp there are tennis, basketball and football courts, table tennis, bowling areas and a brand new children's playground. The camp is open all year long and has a heated main sanitary facility with hot water that is suitable for children and handicapped. Camp Danica Bohinj restaurant
This house of local cuisine and relaxed atmosphere is a part of the Danica Bohinj Campsite. Pleasant alpine setting, excellent hospitality, friendly personnel, selection of Slovenian wine and local culinary delights, all of which use the finest locally grown and sourced ingredients, will surely give you a premium culinary experience. You can choose between many diverse dishes. The restaurant at camping site is famous for the typical Bohinj plate, a trout prepared by the recipe of Valentin Vodnik from 1799, and the local dessert called “Savica“. The peaceful green environment and remoteness from the village rumble will additionally spoil you. From the restaurant you can gaze at the beautiful view of the lower Bohinj mountains.
Camp Danica price
The prices in Camp Danica variate, depending on a period of staying.
Daily price for a person goes from 9, 50 to 15€ and from 6, 40 to 10€ for 7 - 14 year old children. Children under 7 can stay for free. If you choose to bring a dog, it will cost you 5 EUR per day.
A price for a pitch is from 4 to 8€ per day, while pitches near the river go from 6 to 10€. A non-parcelled camping unit is free of charge.
The price of electricity in a camp is 4,10 € a day.
If you have an additional car that you want to park inside the camp, you will pay 10€ for a day of parking.
There is also a possibility of renting a tent. It costs 15€ per day, with additional 2€ if you also choose to rent the bedlinen.
The camp offers a free internet WI FI access.
The tourist tax of 2€ per day is charged to all the guests.
