Regulating units are based on applications and process

For the efficient operation of heaters in various applications, we usually need to perform proper regulation and protection of the heater or the heating unit. The type of regulation is selected based on the application and the process requirements.

There are different types and ways of regulation and control for our heating requirements, from simple capillary thermostat with contactor to convenient thyristor control. Power and temperature controls serve to monitor the heater for high temperatures, as well as controlling the required medium one. The monitoring of heaters is performed by approved devices and can be optionally manufactured with a calculated SIL (Safety Integrity Level). The control of heaters can be implemented as a simple circuit with contactors, a convenient, continuously operating regulation with thyristor controllers, Solid State Relays (SSR) with digital controllers or PLC. Modern solutions with PID regulation and SSR or thyristor controllers are optimised for the heating process. For the homogeneous heating of a medium, single heating groups can be controlled sequentially.

Independent regulating units


Vimosa specialises in the design and implementation of various regulating units for the regulation of the operation of heaters or heating units. The regulation can be carried out via simple capillary thermostats, which are generally already integrated into the heating unit, via the mobile control unit (Viterm), or a special electric control box. For more complex heating applications, the company can design and manufacture regulating units that will be produced according to the requirements of the system/application where the heater will operate.

When manufacturing control units, Vimosa uses only the cutting-edge control equipment, they supply the appropriate temperature sensors according to the intended use. All necessary equipment is installed and supplied in the appropriate electric cabinet. The unit can be manufactured in a way we can connect it to the CNS system or any other external control unit, equipped with the appropriate documentation (electrical diagrams, electrical measurements, IZS engineer's certificate if applicable).

Capillary thermostats

A capillary tube thermostat uses a capillary tube with that has a bulb on one end, a diaphragm switch on the other, and contains a liquid, capable of expanding and contracting at the needed rate to activate the switch. We use them to regulate temperature remotely, such as from outside of a walk-in freezer or refrigeration unit. Classic regulation with capillary thermostats is suited for the applications that are not demanding, where high accuracy and response time are not very important. We can choose between adjustable and safety thermostats (manual reset), with different temperature ranges and dimensions of the capillary tube.
